Like overlapping colored glass circles, the rugs in the Crystal collection, by designer Charlotte Lancelot, create an illusion of transparency and three-dimensionality. A double effect is achieved both with the perimeter gradients of each circle and with the combination of tones that occur at the intersections of some figures with others. Taking into account how dense the rug is, it is surprising that it can transmit such a degree of translucency, achieved thanks to the quirks that the hand-tufted technique allows.
